Trust Oldham is aware of the current situation regarding matchday utilisation of the Joe Royle Stand and Oldham Event Centre (OEC) and the dispute between the parties involved (that being ‘Oldham Athletic (2004) Association Football Club Limited’ and the ‘Fan Led Group’ (“the FLG”)).
Trust Oldham’s commitment and focus is to ensure the club has a viable and sustainable future. As part of this we wish to see that the matchday use of Boundary Park benefits the football club and contributes positively to its financial health.
We have been involved in a series of meetings during the course of this week at which this matter was discussed at length. We are in regular dialogue with the football club and separately with the FLG.
We wish to see this matter resolved expediently and for an agreement to be reached regarding the future use of the Joe Royle Stand and OEC during the forthcoming season on terms which benefit the football club.
Some fans have asked if the Trust Oldham AGM on Monday 22nd July will be relocated in light of this matter. For the avoidance of doubt the AGM will be held at the OEC. Further details are below.
It is not appropriate for Trust Oldham to issue further comment at this stage. We are continuing to monitor this situation and use our best endeavours to assist the parties in resolving this matter.
