Diane Mellor

Trust Oldham Chair

Elected: 2004
Role: Chair

Diane has been a Latics fan through thin and thinner since the 1969/70 season, when she started bringing her dad to games. Most of that time she’s been in the Chaddy End, although has also tried out the main stand and the paddocks on both sides of the ground.

Diane is a project manager and brand ambassador and has worked in various roles over a 25 year career.

First ever Latics Game: Can’t remember the exact game, but it was early in the 1969/1970 season, when Latics were close to the bottom of the old fourth division.

Most memorable game attended: It has to be the trip to Wembley for the Littlewoods Cup Final against Nottingham Forest in 1990. Having supported Latics from the bottom of the Fourth Division it was something that Diane never dreamed she’d witness. Everything about the day was memorable – the atmosphere before the game; the walk down Wembley Way; the noise inside the stadium; the fans support. It was a magical day out.
